Re-envisioning the Walgreens App as a Healthcare Provider

Overview

In this project, our primary goal was to enhance the application's user interface design to align with the modern and trustworthy visual elements of their rebranded identity.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team of 15 UX designers and researchers to develop an innovative UI concept and provide strategic recommendations geared towards enhancing the holistic user experience, with a specific emphasis on optimizing the Homepage.

Challenge

Transitioning the app from retail to healthcare offerings presents various challenges.

  1. The shift in user expectations

  2. Balancing Complexity and Simplicity

  3. Integration of New Visual Elements

  4. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance & Health Information Privacy

Solution

The new design was improved with a modern look and the brand colors, fonts, and UI elements were updated. Aligning the brand as a healthcare provider and accessibility was a top priority. Users are now able to easily navigate the app for their extensive healthcare services without being distracted by retail promotions.
